‘Healthy North Coast’ best sums up our vision, aspiration and intentions.
It’s about all of us working ‘as one’. Healthy North Coast provides us with a platform and ties us together – it is our coming and working together that makes all the difference.
Working as one does not mean uniformity, nor being stripped of volition, independence or identity. It means liberation, interdependence and collective power. It is what the bees, the ants and the entire ecosystems have perfected over millions of years.
To act as one, we the primary health care clinicians and administrators have to behave differently and be willing to be transformed and to transform.
Healthy North Coast acknowledges that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are the first peoples of Australia. We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land upon which we live, including Bundjalung, Gumbaynggirr, Dunghutti and Birpai Aboriginal Nations, and pay respect to Elders both past and present.
